Good question. My 97 had a new top on it when I got it so I haven’t bought one. Would two piece be a removable rear window?

Not sure,i gotta go look at it now...I'm seeing around $750 for a good 2 pc top with all the hardware and stuff.seems like a good deal.

I have a couple here with OEM top
both glass rear window and both have a separate panel under the glass and surrounding it.
this might be considered 2 piece.

I agree with Cammer-6, my old 97 Firebird Convert had a separate panel around the glass back window. I had to have it replaced when a baseball went thru it while I was driving by a High School several years ago. They were able to replace just the rear portion of the top.

I have no idea if either is better? But the 2 piece one would be stock.

I should note that I have 3 with OEM tops a 94,97.01.
All have the separate rear window pocket.
I removed the one on my 97 and reglued the glass, then reinstalled it.
