I will be looking closer at this one. Sounds like a time capsule from ad.

Interesting story, odd that its a '71 Judge that was being raced by the dealership.

Shame Kevin Guido doesn't post on here. His white '71 HO T-37 hardtop came out of Crown Pontiac in St Pete. It was raced from day 1. Anyone interested in this Judge might want to get a hold of Kevin. I would bet he has had contact with anyone connected to racing @ Crown.

I spoke to Kevin and showed him the auction ad link. He thought it was Troy's car at first then recalled his was a three speed stick. Other than that he didn't seem to know anything on the history of this particular Judge. Either that or he didn't say anything to me about it.

Drooling, counting pennies, eating adding machine paper...oh baby! That would fill the Pontac void in my life very nicely! The race history, and low miles makes up for the lack of a third pedal...and it's Lucy Blue!

I am pretty sure that this is the car that is/was in PA. Owned by a collector for many years. Pretty neat car for sure. Surprised he is selling it.

Do you think it's the one from Erie Jeff that the guy claimed was original paint?

I will be looking at this one at BJ. Want to see the history in its paint.

Maybe the ghost of the lettering from the dealership in the original paint?
Wondering why the power windows and no tach in a drag car?
I can see the master is a nice 69? Not sure why?
But, chrome valve covers too, and the engine bay has been messed with a bit...

I will check numbers too...

I was just wondering why this thread seems to have Crapped The Bed, I was looking forward to learning if this is a "good car" The add seems to suggest that it is a low mile surviver that got a cosmetic and mild mechanical refreshing, Yet it is not specific. I have no interest in buying it, but thought it might be a good market guide to compare with my car since it seems similar (maybe) in many ways, low mile, auto, no A/C.
If there is maybe some semi secret reason it is being ignored Someone just give me two winks, Or a nod .
It left me in suspense.

It was from Erie and as Don said not original paint with hood closed. Weird options for a race car, but nice options. Paint was nice couldn't get any good look at it to see much else. Good looking color and car for a 71 Judge. Forget the hype though it's not a 8k all original for sure...

The seat covers look like the latest repro comfortweave, not real comfort weave.

Well I've learned through the years that what isn't said in a description is just as, or even more important than what is.
BJ has always seemed to come across as having a ( full discloser ) will get you further attitude.
I guess the fact is these cars need to be seen in person. And that there are far too many variables to really lock down a real world, current market value. I wanted to know what this car was, to gauge the level of "it is what it is , Not what it says" based on a vague yet hyped description. (I too noticed the exhaust pipes looked a little autozone like, And there was rust on the bottom of the gas tank). Why would you present a car like that?

I remember seeing and reading a description of a car at Hershey auction that was supposed to be "stunning" , One of the few I was able to see in person. Poor paint coverage, Hardware store bolts, Cast blast and aluma blast, etc.
What troubles me about it all is that if an honest person tries to sell an honest car these days, everyone assumes the car is not honestly described. Or theres some kind of dishonesty involved somewhere. I guess justifiably so.

When my car was on Ebay some years ago, I found it a little troubling that the bidding was questioned by someone here, I think it was before I was a member.

I hope this is a sensible post, and I'm not somewhere out in left field.

SMS Auto Fabrics and Original Auto Interiors both had or have an inventory of original material: CW, vinyl, round piping, flat stripping...and the rest.

I heard certain colors in their inventory were getting thin as they had uncovered most of what was left un-used in the US.

I've delt with both...the Original guys are gear heads and nice to work with.

Six months ago, Legendary was still offering (for a fee) to sew your CW fabric in their repro seat covers.

Last full custom set of seat covers I priced using all original GM products, was pushing $1,000 iirc. plus materials.

This was by Mexican craftsman who owned a custom shop.
