Default DA front shock starting point advice/recommendation

Just finished tonight installing QA1 DA coilovers on front of my firebird. I have been searching online for recommendations on starting point settings for car.
Any body have any recommendations for initial settings.

3100lb car, 1700lb front. 550-600hp. w/ current 90/10 and coil spring setup was running 6.38 w/ 1.37 60'. Transbrake leave at 3000.
My friend said the car hits hard on launch (jumps) but bounce front wheels. I can feel it in steering wheel. Makes car temperamental on iffy track which stinks bracket racing.
Rear suspension has remained unchanged - calvert leafs, caltracs and shocks set on #4 (1 is softest setting).
Over winter I dropped 100+ lbs off front and freshened up engine and increased HP (which added 10mph and dropped .60 in 1/8. )
thanks

How the heck is that front so heavy with a total weight of only 3100? Is that with you in in the car? What does QA1 say for settings?
