Looking for advice on cleaning an old cast iron intake, is this something that I can do/products on the market to clean the rust off? Or should I take this to a machine shop to be hot tanked, or find someone to glass-bead it? Advice appreciated
Thanks! |

Glass/sand blast it and paint it and go. Here is the one I did off a 68 400

For iron, "thermal" cleaning will give you best results. In the vernacular, it's known as "shake and bake". Call around in your town to see who has the modern systems.
