Default Holy cold

Snow squalls last night, and 25 degrees here this morning that’s crazy for May 9th. I’m freezing my tulips off. Who else has extremely cold weather for May?

It is. 60 one day, 40 the next. Almost every other day.
28 and hard frost last nite. Up to 36 rite now with a high of 56.
Heard weather forecast this am is polar vortex with 3-5 inches snow in the east soon...

Most of the country is cold for the next couple days:

All things considered, I'd rather have a polar vortex in May (with temps in the 40s) than in January (with temps in the -20s).

Got down to 39 in central Oklahoma. It was 95 a few days ago. No complaints, Lord!!! Cool springs here, take away the chances of wacky weather!!!

Yep, good chance this late freeze did a number on the black flies, they were out in force the last few days. I remember several years back we had a late freeze and it took the black flies a couple of years to recover.

In the 30's this morning, but currently 64 degrees.

Thursday, I was golfing in shorts.

7 years ago we had 13" of heavy wet snow in early May. What a friggin' mess. I had just traded in my tractor and walk behind snow blower for a new articulating AWD rider and hadn't bought the snowblower yet....

I shoveled out just enough of my 160' driveway to get my vehicle off the street and waited for the rest of it to melt...
