Thumbs up 1959 Dodge Coronet Royal

The guy who lives opposite me has the real "hots" to buy this car. Considering he currently owns two early (restored) VW beetles, this will be a real change in direction.

I'm going to take a look at it next Saturday.

Apparently its a "Custom Royal" not a Coronet

Cool. My Uncle, Benny Buckner is a well known "the Forward Look" guru on the east cost here. Here is his web page (http://bennybuckner.com/), He deals in a lot of these cars.

On the front page you will see his 1957 Dodge Custom Royal Convertible and my dads 59 Plymouth Sports Fury.

Neat car, always liked this era of Mopars.

I had to take a picture of this car after I caught up to it getting off the highway last week.

Looks like a '58...my mother had a 1958 Dodge when I was a kid. It was really worn out (the 318 poly engine in that thing barely had enough power to get up hills) but it sure had big tailfins. I was always fascinated by the pushbutton transmission controls.
