What company is the "Go To" company for weatherstripping now.
I always used Soffseal but they have been bought out. Any recommendations? For my 65

I always thought they were top of the line. They even supplied me bulk pieces of belt line weatherstripping for makes/models that nobody manufactured weatherstripping for. They happened to manufacture the correct profile and would sell me an 8’ piece and cut it in two to ship it cheaper. |

I've had good luck with Metro Moulded Parts, although it helps they're local to me so I was able to walk in their showroom and pick up things in person. https://metrommp.com

I bought some t top seals from Steele Rubber (Ha, I always get a kick out of that name) and they were nice. I spoke with them a few years ago regarding making new trim for my CnC tops, they were receptive to the idea but I had to send my originals (which I wasnt keen on as they are still doing their job) for a quote. But they said they it would most likely be several thousand dollars for the tooling and production costs. I dont have Jay Leno car money so I passed.

x2 on metro for door, trunk, roof rail seals. They fit & function great & have lasted for 15+ years on 1 car I did, 12 and 8 on 2 other cars.
This is for 2nd gen firebirds but imagine the quality is the same for most any vehicle. They may not be 100% concours restoration correct but for any other car they are a good value.... but for 2nd gen T top seals they are terrible, dont fit the inner roof corners right and are thin & floppy in that area. I used soff seal that fit much better but still not perfect like original GM. |

Steele is pretty good. And customer service is pretty good also. I ordered my felts for my 85 Grand Prix from them and the quality is very good. I also have my own personal source also but may be going out of business soon.
