This is the fuel filter used on a OEM AFB carb without AC.

You can readially purchased these most anywhere.

Another number I found is #3759764 (STRAINER, fuel inlet).

Chris.

The 7013404 filters come in the better carb rebuilding kits.

Thank you!

They never used the metal canister fuel filter on a 64,65,66 GTO AFB.

You could easily add one.

The AFB with A/C cars all got the canister. The return line to the tank comes off of the fuel filter.

So if they didn't get the canister did they just have a hose all the way from the fuel pump to the carb tube? Was there a bracket to hold the hose in place?

THE RUBBER HOSE WENT FROM THE FUEL PUMP TO THE FRONT OF THE VALVE COVER THEN THE STEEL LINE #21 (IN PIC #2) CONNECTED TO THE RUBBER HOSE AND THE STEEL LINE HOOKED INTO THE AFB CARB'S FUEL INLET FITTING.

This is how the factory ran the fuel line from fuel pump to the AFB on a non-air conditioned 65.

Rubber fuel hose, then an Aluminum line, not steel!
