Default 70 Drum Brakes

1. Is there any way to convert my front drum brakes (70 GTO Judge) to manual disc brakes and keep my "drum" Rally 11 rims?
2. If the conversion is not possible without changing the rims (which I will not do) can someone recommend a set a good brakes pads for the drum brakes?

Much appreciated!

Yes absolutely any 68-72 a body brake parts are a direct swap. I have found the CPP kit to be the best with a lifetime warranty for none wear items

I have these on all four corners without a power booster and they are as good as advertised. The stopping power is at least as good as a stock disc brake system and I haven't been able to fade them yet, even at 120+ on the top end of the drag strip.

I tried all of the top tier shoes (Raybestos,Wagner, etc) and honestly they all sucked. I was ready to convert to discs but tried the Musclecar Brakes stuff and decided to keep them. Just swapped the shoes on with new parts store drums and hardware, not the Cryo drums and hardware MC Brakes sells.

Have also installed the special Matrix shoes & spring kits on a pair of early GTO's. Owners were VERY happy with the new found Whoa! Bought both sets when the company was Praise Dyno Brakes before the name change (same company). Have since bought special matrix shoe & spring sets for my '71 233's. Both are manual drum cars & besides the Musclecarbrakes.com shoes are being assembled with low mile original front drums that I had cryo'ed locally.

I just purchased the full kit from MCB (cyro drums as well). The kit appears to very good quality & everything is packaged & labeled very well. I'll report back in the spring when the car hits the road.
