'65 Bonneville glove box lock
My '65 Bonne was missing its glove box lock so bought a replacement but when installed, the latch hits the upper edge where it's supposed to slide behind the edge.
I found two different types of locks offered for my car and my question is, is there some kind of early model and late model '65 Bonneville and my car happens to be one of those? Just been wondering this early/late model because my door panels uses steel nails as fasteners but Ames and OPGI offers those round plug-fasteners. Confusing... Pictures included of both locks. First one is the one I bought, second that is also offered. Last edited by samiralfey; 06-20-2022 at 03:32 AM. |

As far as I know, there is only 1. The bottom picture of is not for a 65 Bonneville. The top one looks correct.

Well, closer inspection revealed that the leading edge was bent. Probably someone tried to force it open. Bent it back and all is fine. Now to the rear wheel bearing...
