Even with Only some 505 cid and just 750 hp on hand you should be well into the 9s!

Driving home now. Made 782 peak horsepower at 6400 RPM. 684 tq at 5300. This motor should live a happy life on the street. Forgot to mention in the original post that I also upgraded to Crower bushed lifters over the previous Comp needle bearing pos.

Very cool! It should be very happy on the street! How many pulls did you make?

Looks like your results mirror Langer's results.

565 - 1.45 HP per cubic inch
520 - 1.507 HP per cubic inch

For having different rings and no vacuum pump that is an increase in efficiency.

Nice numbers there Brad.

John pointed out the VE change. I'd say it's possible to meet/exceed the 565's 820 HP if pump and rings were same AND some refinements to move the peak to 7000.(cam, header refinements perhaps?)

CV1TTF!

I'm sure we could of hit 800 if wanted to play on the dyno more. Also sure my 30 year old flat collector Heddman headers aren't exactly the best for the application. Either way, I'm real happy with the numbers.; Now to get in the car and to the track.

Ballin. Sounds like a great street engine to me.

Glad to hear it turned out good!

Excellent numbers and agree should be happy and durable with the Crower Bushed Lifters.

Just thinking out loud as I type, reducing the stroke may have helped a bit with the piston rocking less in the bore and a better sealed up engine overall so the HP per cid was better.

I think you're correct. The piston is in the bore a heck of a lot better now at bottom dead center.
