Default 67 Disc Brake Upgrade and Swap to 4.75 BP

On my 67 Bonneville, going to swap over to front discs this winter and also buy some nice wheels(not sure yet which style). Since we are somewhat limited in off the shelf wheel choices(mainly backspacing) in the 5x5 bolt pattern, would like to change to 4.75. Called Wilwood and asked if they make a kit and was told no.

I've been on these forums a while and know about the Scarebird kit. That's all fine and dandy, but doesn't address my desire to swap to the 4.75 bolt pattern as well.

Any suggestions?

I suggest to contact Scarebird directly. He is the best one to answer your question.

Good point. Maybe with his kit I can use a 4.75 BP rotor.

You can, will need 88-92 1LE rotors and our outer bearing spacers in addition to our kit.

I'm about to start my conversion on my 68. I have an older scarebird kit sitting on my shelf for a 5x5 drum hub conversion. I'm On the fence still with changing to a 4.75 pattern and also changing the rear over to disc
Are you going to go disc on the rear with the 4.75?

Planning to stay drum on the rear, but also change to 4.75 BP. Gotta figure out if I can redrill the stock axles or buy custom new.

Looking at a stock axle shaft, I would bet it can be re-drilled for 4.75", although one lug bolt will be tight between a hole for the 5" pattern, and the larger hole for bearing retainer plate access.

Watch out that B body axle shaft requires wheels with a 3" center hole, while the 4.75" pattern wheels are generally 2.8".
