Forged always. Port everything. Should be a screamer. 428’s are my personal favorite. Most underrated and underestimated muscle car motor of all time IMO. Fastest street Pontiac I ever saw was a 428 running an HC-03 cam in front of a Doug Nash 5. It was Legend.

HC03 is a good match for a 4" stroke motor i ran one in a 440 cuin with 11.25-1 compression lightly ported #48s my favorite build
