Default 78 PX Code 3.23 Posi Value?

A local guy is going twin turbo LS on his 78 Trans Am(I couldn't talk him out of it) along with aftermarket front stub and 9". I picked up the e head 455 out of the car along with the TK0600 trans and factory 3.23 posi. I'm putting the motor and trans in my 74 Firebird, but will be selling the rear. It's been rebuilt with new axles, seals, bearings and the posi rebuilt, factory gears. What should I ask for this? At the end of the day, I know it's a factory 10 bolt with new axles so guessing it won't command a premium unless a restoration guy is needing it. The previous owner spent over $1,000 getting it all rebuilt.

Edit - I guess along the same lines, I also got the front stub(he went Heidt) with all new ball joints, bushing, factory brakes, etc. This will also need to go. It's also in like new condition.

I could be interested in the rear... I'll give you two cases of Stag for it.

I see prices of rear axles all over the place. For a stock 3.23 posi axle (with decent work posi and brakes ok) I would guess $200-$500 - maybe $350 is average. If rebuilding costs around $500? and say rebuild is discounted slightly to $400 - axle could be worth $600-$900 - maybe $750 average , as you know, selling an axle can be tough sometimes as usually just local market.

Thanks Jeremy. I’ll bring it to Norwalk for $600 and 2 cases of the East coasts finest.

I figured $600 would be what I’d get for it eventually.

Everyone wants a bargain and none are prepared to pay cost, regardless of having trouble finding the item or work done for them. Except when they try to sell it, then it's worth more.
