Miller Mystery Firebird and Detroit Autorama
Incredible weekend at the Autorama. Hundreds of beautiful cars and even more nice people.
Went with a good friend who grew up there. Just recently finished his car so we may bring it back next year. Ran across this lovely gem sitting there, a piece of lost racing history I had never seen before… Would like to say thank you to Tony Karew and his partner for spending a good 20 minutes sharing background info on the car. They were super cordial and the car is really a time capsule to see. So if you get by the Pontiac Transportation Museum be sure to find Tony, and look for this car. |

Man anytime!
Lots of Mopar stuff there, and I have to say, I guess I’m used to being at home where there’s only 1 or 2 Pontiacs ever around. There were quite a few Pontiacs represented (some 12 or so) and all of em were really nice. Definitely going back next year. |

Boy, what about the Lincoln Continental group there? I have never seen so many in one place. Downstairs had a bunch of cool station wagons. It was great.

I believe they did buy the car from out of Jersey, but I do not know that for sure.
There were in fact at least 20+ Lincoln’s there! I’ve never seen that many in one place either, except maybe a factory photo outside the plant. Quite a few really nice G.T.O’s there. There was a pretty blue 64 that caught my eye, it was nice! As far as old race cars go I did leave a fellow out, with a nice 60 Pontiac Ventura. Since I recently came across a 62 wagon, it was nice to see this in its livery, with a really old pair of piecrust Firestone slicks. |
