Default Never get scared painting.

I am so tired of sanding. Of course I had to paint it black so it has to be perfect. On the second coat of clear I got a run and it made me back up for the third coat. The result was some orange peel that is now my nightmare. I have tried to short cut it a little but I see no way around it. Oh well It will be nice come spring. My 2+2.

I hindsight I should have just kept being aggressive and then I would have had to only deal with the run in the clear. Now I get to sand the monster forever because with this body style the 1500 pad on the 3m system only goes so far. I can't wait to paint a normal color next.

And for those that question the 10K paint job in another thread you should have followed me for the last 2-1/2 years. At last tally I had 250 hours in this one and it will end somewhere around 300.

congrats,,you just painted the easiest color available
why not just panel paint the run ?
much easier than another total repaint and no excess mil paint

I knocked out the run already. The peel is in the last clear and I was hoping for a little less time color sanding. That's all. If I had just kept going like I had the rest would have flowed out much better than it did.
