Default rear springs

I am looking for a set of rear springs for my 1967 GTO convertible. something to lift the rear up to be level or a tad higher that the front end. i read on a post from a couple of years ago that the AC35h2005 would do what I want. The problem is no one has them in stock. Is there another rear spring that will do the same thing. Trying to stay away from spacers.
thanks
alan

Back in the eighties, I used station wagon springs on my then 66 GTO, and I THINK this is what I also ordered on my current 66 GTO project, nice rake, all spring. Of course, 66 and 67 take a different spring.

I used these folks - they will build springs to your exact specification. If for example you want 1.5 inch lift from factory spec they can do that for you.

Ditto on above.

When I finished my 3 year resto of my '64 GTO Convertible, I was not a fan of the factory correct look of the rear end being lower than the front. I asked Coil Spring Specialties (the link above) to make me a set with a .75" lift over stock.

Measuring before and after the stock rear spring (obtained from our host here) replacement, the rear was exactly .75" higher.

Very satisfied with CSS.

Be aware that there's two entirely different ways to achieve a given ride-height.

Tall, soft springs

Short, stiff springs.

Soft springs are favored by OEMs and drag-racers. Vehicle handles like a drunken pig, but also transfers weight from front to back for improved rear-wheel traction.

Stiff springs improve handling and braking--sometimes dramatically. They'll shake-up Grandma's sciatica, though.

lugnutx2...66 springs (no "pig tail" on top) can be used on 67...doing that now. I have a pair of station wagon springs ("pig tail" top and bottom) that will go in a 66 frame(different car) after cutting the top "pig tail" to get the correct height when that car is done.

I didn't know 66-67 springs interchanged, I learned something new. Thanks!

It's one of those things I learned accidentally. I was restoring a 67 using a 66 frame so I bought 66 springs. I ended up using a 67 frame and didn't want to have to buy new springs again. Lucky me the 66 springs work in a 67 frame.

It's actually the top of the spring where it's different, no difference in the bottom.
