Default 383 (301) stroker engine 475HP

Hate to do this but for personal issues I need to sell this. I bought this from Tom S on this board and you can read about it here for all the details:

http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=710524&highlight=301+stroker

I installed in my 79 firebird and fired it up, and it sounds really good. This has a 326 crank, custom pistons and has forged rods. Heads and intake done by SD Performance and all port matched by Dave. There is over $6,000 in parts alone and was built by Joe Sherman. Timing is all set and ready to fire up. I hate to sell this, it really is a great engine and puts out a ton of power. It uses the 301 turbo block which is ass thick in the mains as the traditional Pontiac blocks.

If you want a lighter engine by at least 100 lbs and makes great power, this would be perfect.
I would like $5,000 plus shipping. I had it shipped from LA to NY last year and it was $275.

Just wanted to add more details in this engine. The heads are 15 and ported to flow 263 @.600 while being port matched to the custom intake manifold. Comp Cam is a solid roller with 230/238 @ .050 and .616 lift. Custom forged Pistons, cam and ignition is all dialed in, ready to drop in a car and run.

I don't know. Tom S had this built and when it ran on the dyno don't think they measured it. It was intended for a street car, and from the way it sounds probably around 16-17.

I had some inquiries on more details on the engine so I summarized them here.

Some details on the engine, 9.2 compression, revs to 6000, dynoed at 475hp, ignition is all set.

Turbo 301 block, the main webs are as thick as a 400 block. No block work needed to make this work except boring, align hone, standard procedures. Mains were doweled and has a short block fill.
Heads are 1968 #15, with new 2.05 valves, ported by SD Performance, flow at 260 @ .600
The thrust bearing uses a .071 steel thrust bearing spacer designed by Nunzi. It can't fall out because held in by a groove. Crank is a 1963 326, but any 326-400 crank will work. Journal diameter and width is the same as a big block Chevy. Uses forged L88 rods and a custom forged piston to make the compression work. Rod is 6.135 and bore is 4.030.

Motor work done by Joe Sherman. www.joeshermanracing.com
Used a edelbrock torker single plane that has been cut down in the runners and welded back by SD Performance. Also was port matched to the heads. Manifold is beautiful work by Dave, you can't see the welds. This makes the short deck work because it is 1" shorter deck height than standard pontiacs.
Rockers are steel rollers with 1.65 on intake and 1.5 on the exhaust. Roller Cam Lobe #4639B and 4641B on a 111.230-238@ 50 and 4070-4170 lobe lift .016 lash.

I hope someone else realizes how good of a deal this is!
That 475hp is probably most peoples 500+!
I keep thinking this motor in a 63 tempest set up to handle with fat tires and a wide body kit with a 5 speed, i need to win the lotto lol!
