Default Stroker crank clearance

I am installing a stroker crank in my 400 block. I had one area to grind to make the crank turn, but some of the throws are real close to hitting. Is there a minimum distance the clearance should be? I was thinking at least .015, any help?

Rule of thumb is .090", or about the thickness of a wire coat hangar.

The area needing attention should be the alignment "lug" at the front, where the counterweight hits it. Cutting it back 1/8" is always "good".

FWIW
