Its Zaino Brothers. I have a black car and it's the best i've seen yet. Check out their website. I got my first bottles from a guy at Norwalk 2 yrs ago. So far, i'm pleased with it. No swirl marks at all when you get done with it.

I agree with Cardo, Zaino makes the best products on the market. The process is time consuming at first, but once you have established a shine with the polish, it is relatively easy to maintain.

Another happy Zaino user. I got off easy, since I didn't have to clay bar, since my car never had a drop of wax on it when I brought it home from the paint shop.

Great stuff!

I looked at the web site for Zaino and became more confussed.

What products do I need?

Can I buy it at a store?

My car is not a show car. Is this to much wax for it?

Does anyone have the report from guru on the waxes?

What about mothers waxes? Are they any good?

Fullback,

Zaino is a clear coating that builds on itself, so it will not cover orange peel and other imperfections, in fact it will enhance them! It also doesn't clean dirt like compound or wax......

It is a major PIA to use if your car has been outside a lot and waxed before (unless you LIKE claybarring, which is akin to washing a gym floor with a toothbrush). If the car has been outside a lot, it will need clay barring too. Once you get the first coat on, it is stupidly easy to use afterwards...

The numbering system is definitely confusing. I use Z2 (with the accelerator), Z5 and the "Gloss Enchancer" spray. The tire shine or whatever it's called is good too.

The Z5 is the "swirl/scratch remover" and it definitely works. When you put it on, you can see the microscopic swirls in the previous coats of Zaino and they magically disappear when you wipe it off. The Z2 is the basic stuff. I use it as recommended. Z2, gloss enhancer, Z5, gloss enhancer, Z2, shine enhancer. It takes about 3 hours to do all of this, including setup and drying time. Great stuff, and I always get great comments on the finish when I bother to shine it up!

You don't have to clay bar the car to get the wax off. Just use Liquid Dawn (hand dishwashing liquid) as a car wash. It has a high alkaline content which cuts right through carnauba wax, paraffin, silicone oils, etc. This will get your paint finish squeeky clean and wax free.

Then, you can use the ClayBar to remove any bonded surface contaminants such as rail dust, tree sap, bug marks, or hard water deposits from the paint before applying the Zaino products.

You use the Z-7 car wash as a lubricant for the Z-18 ClayBar. Then the Z-2 with the ZFX additive to reduce the drying time. This creates a base from which to build on. You can then use the Z-5 if you have swirl marks. The Z-6 is an gloss enhancer and can be used for quick touch ups. The Z-7 is the car wash for the system. Just click on the "Application" link on the website for details in how to use the system. It may seem complicated at first, but the results are unbelievable!

Here is a link to the basic system that will get you started. They do not sell their products in any retail stores, and they barely advertise. They rely mostly on word of mouth.

Doh! You're right, the clay bar doesn't remove the wax.....

It is still a PIA if the car's been outside a lot. I started clay barring my '04 and gave up, not worth it! I am too lazy to do it the first time on that one. The paradox is that once the first coat is down, the stuff is remarkably easy to use.

As I said, I got off easy having a virgin with my '66...... All I used was Z2,Z5 and the gloss enhancer spray. The car has not had a drop of water (well, to wash it anyway...... it did get rained on a few times by accident!) on it since I got it back home in October, and I've been driving the heck out of it (2400 miles since then) all winter.

Great stuff. I just did the whole car with the spray in about 1/2 an hour.

Good info!

Does anyone know if this stuff can be removed or over the years will there be some kind of build up?

My car has never been waxed before. It has been driven alot outside. Kind of a daily driver. I drive it as much as I can.

I would probable need to clay bar it.
This sounds like a pain in the butt.
Can you do your car one section at a time? Or do you have to the car all a once?

Is this product for show cars? Or daily drivers?
I have nice paint, no orange peel.

Or, I could do what goatseeker did and get some NU finish.

How much of a differance will it make on a WHITE car??
????????????????????????????

This is second hand information, but I trust the source. A retiree from my work showed me this, and to give you an idea of how anal he was about his car care- about three years ago he sold his 72 Chevelle Heavy Chevy with under 7,000 miles- original owner, waxed the frame, floorboards, everything. On his work van he did an experiment. He used about seven or eight differnt kinds of wax on various panels. Wish I could tell you which ones. But his favorite for ease of use and best long lasting effects was Turtle Wax Gold. He showed me what panels were waxed with what about 2-3 months after the fact and I would say he washed it at least every other week. The Turtle Wax Gold panel looked like he just waxed it, the rest were dull compared to it. Hope this helps.

I've used the Zaino stuff for over two years....GREAT product. I think I've probably tried just about every type out there over the years, and Zaino is the only one that DOES NOT leave a residue.

1. wash with the Dawn soap
2. Clay Bar-yes it's a pain, but well worth it!
3. Apply the Zaino by instructions

Can't comment on the "build-up" question....but I can tell you that each application results in a deeper shine. It's a very thin hard coating when it dries.
I don't think I would ever want to remove it...kinda like a "clear-coat".

Just my .02

I've used it on the door jambs and under hood on rad. support. I don't see any reason why you couldn't use it where you use any other type. I try to save it for the body panels mostly(it's not cheap, and you have to order it vs. making a trip to the local store).

I love paying shipping...
I might wax door jams and other not so noticable areas with Mothers, and use the more expensive stuff for body.

Do they have samples?
