Getting the exhaust sound "right" would be challenging...

Why not just re-badge a prius and put a big screamin chicken on the hood?

Further diluting the brand by making it green? Not anything I'd ever buy..........

Pontiac Motor Division for the purpose of housing innovations in driveline, suspension, special purpose excitement vehicles, Batmobiles, Landsharks, and fun convertible type we haven't thought practical.

...not Pontiac the decor kit.

NO JELLY BEANs, no roaches.

I enjoyed reading that right up to the "all electric" brand portion. Teslas are cool and faster than $h!t but we need something that is better looking than the ugly a$$ Camaro. Pontiac designers were GMs best it's just sad that they disbanded it to keep Buick. I get it though, Buick doesn't compete with Chevy like Pontiac did.

I understand the "Business Decision" I wish they would understand my reaction to no longer give them my business.

zero interest in seeing pontiac resurrected as an all-electric brand. to be honest, pontiac is probably better off left for dead. anything 'new' that they would build/rebrand would simply dilute the marque and memories that made pontiac what it was. i'd much rather drive my GTO for what it is than even consider a new pontiac of any sort.

My sentiments exactly, I will NEVER buy another new GM product and they can take that to the bank, or not, because they'll never see any profit margin from anything I buy till I die.

GM doesn't, and never will understand customer loyalty. If I wanted a buick or a chevy I would have bought one of them. I worked at a buick gmc dealership and I worked at a chevy dealership. Working on that crap daily convinced me that I never wanted to own either of them. I only wanted a Pontiac, since that is no longer a choice, I choose to never, ever, buy any of their offerings.

Ram Air will be for high performance ventilated battery cooling...

Super Duty will be the high amperage option

Spoilers will include mini solar panels

I'm excited!

Judging from the crap Pontiac was producing from the 90's onward, I never want to see the brand return. I'd rather have the fond memories of the great Pontiacs of past, than the trash that they'll end up building now.

I bet they have. Consider that there are 4 Chinese for every 1 American. That's 4 Chinese to take your place driving a Buick.

Who would build Pontiacs again? Fisher body is gone, as are all of the Pontiac plants in the US.... coast to coast. God forbid if Buick built them. All GM would do is make a mess of them. I'd rather see Ford build Pontiacs than GM.

I think that an all electric Pontiac would be a total bust!!! Would rather seem them Take a new. Aluminum Pontiac block and heads and build 1 or 2 performance cars.

Wonder if the "new" Pontiac would have all the tacky body cladding that characterized so many of the 80's-90's models...

this absolutely correct. for whatever reason, buick is a highly regarded and a very popular brand in china. from a business standpoint, keeping that brand and selling buicks in china makes total sense.

For the Chinese, it's all about "face". Buick is thought of as a successful business mans car.

A Cadillac is an old mans car, a Chevrolet is a cheaper, everyday car. A Chevrolet in China is most likely to be a rebadged Daewoo etc. So for a rising Chinese guy, to be driving a Buick is showing just the right signs that he is doing quite well.

A super rich Chinese might go and buy a Rolls Royce or a Bentley because that really is showing the rest of the crowd that "I'm one highly successful rich guy".

A rich young "playboy" in China will buy a Ferarri or similar because that's showing the world that "I'm young, powerful with lots of cash in my pocket"!!

So in essence, the Buick is showing the rest of the crowd that "I'm doing well, I have a nice house, I can afford more luxuries than a lot of people and I have a nice car"!!

As far as Pontiac being resurrected, ain't going to happen. Nice to dream about it but it's gone. Dead forever. There were (maybe still are?), a dedicated band of Studebaker lovers who used to hold vigils at the old factory site dreaming about it rising from the earth again. Believe me, there never was or will be a Phoenix

Why just Pontiac? The same argument could be made for Olds, Plymouth, etc.

Dead as Joseph Stalin. Trying to resurrect Pontiac would be like gluing a shattered crystal vase back together. You may do it but it will NEVER be like it was.
Let's all just enjoy what it was...and man, wasn't it something?
