Q-Jet Vacuum Ports
Have a quadrajet on my '79 TA 400 4 spd (not the original carb to the car) and the drivers side vacuum port at base of carb is "blocked" or non functional as is the opposite port on passenger side. What is involved in making these functional so I could then use a ported vacuum source?
Thanks in advance, Joe |

When you say "base" of the carb, where are you talking about? Are they above the primary butterfly's?

The logical step would be to "unblock" the port. Or am I missing something?

Vacuum Ports
Ports at the base of the carb above the primary butterflies. Part of the throttle plate.

Can you get a drill bit at them?
