Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed the movie trailer.
I'm currently preparing for the transmission swap. Found a 200-4R locally that has been rebuilt with a CK Performance kit. Came with extra parts: speedo drive gears, CK Performance rebuild manual, Freak Show torque converter, B&M lockup controller, tv cable and bracketry, filler tube and several receipts! I'm hoping to do the work asap and see if I can actually get a test drive in before the snow flies.... I can dream, right?

I want to say "Carolina Blue?" I seem to recall some special paint cars from the NC area wearing a shade like that. I'm sure someone here knows for sure.

My '72 LeMans GT. Someday I'll get a fresh coat of Monarch Yellow back on her, but she's still a looker to me as she is!

She's a beauty Tyler! Congrats! Where did you find her?

Edit: Just found your dedicated thread, I'll read the story there.

My car is a 1972 GTO. Originally a 400, but had a '74 455 in it when I bought it in July. Also has a TH350 3 speed with a 4.10 12 bolt posi rear end. (Looking to swap in an overdrive this winter). The color of my car is original and pretty unique. It was special ordered so the trim tag shows a couple dashes for the paint code. I've been searching for the actual color and the closes GM color I have found is a Kimberly Blue I found in a Pontiac color palette from 1962. I don't know what it is exactly, but I like it because it's different.

Happy to join another GTO community. I'm always researching something to death, so now I've found more resources.

Here's a little movie trailer I put together with video of my car.

Hey Judge. That is the previous owner's ad.... must have some kind of auto renew or something.

I can assure you this car is in my garage with a clean transferred title! It's not actively for sale, but, everything is for sale.. right?

I know someone said this was Carolina Blue. I have to agree. It was sold at a North Carolina dealership and from what I've found online, dealerships in the Carolina region were offered this as a color option. I like it!

Wow! Pretty cool! When I came across the ad I thought....man I've seen this one before! Glad to hear your not parting with it! You would think they would update those online car posting sites a little better.

The only thing I have to ask or say is isn't the GTO decal on the wrong side of the trunk lid, shouldn't it be on the right side of the trunk lid like all the rest are. Or did someone goof??

Yep, the previous owner had the trunk lid sprayed and they messed up decal placement.... drives me crazy. Unfortunately the decal is under the clear coat.
