Had forgotten about my reberb unit - thanks a bunch, now all I can hear in my mind is the TWAANG! when hitting a dip or pothole.

Ahhh ... the memories.

By the way. That sound at the very end of "Highway Star" by Deep Purple is a reverb spring crashing inside a Fender amp that was kicked over.

Cool, Machine Head or Made in Japan version? I have Made in in Japan on vinyl, gonna have to listen, love the bass twang in the beginning, a preview of what's to come- great stuff!

My reverb (Convertible model) worked about 1/2 aze in reality but it was an option installed by the factory on the car. It basically just changed the sound you heard in the car a slight bit. Nothing like the Boom Box stuff of later years or the digital stuff (like a JBL sound system). Course I was an old 78 type guy with a Japanese reel to reel sound system 'at home' guy.

60's-70's Chicago area:

Cragar SS or Keystone Classics all the way around
Chrome reverse rears and 5 spoke Torq-thrust fronts on older cars (gasser look)
Big and littles on tires (M/T Sportsman L60x15 rear/7.75x15 front
Red line tires w. factory Rally Wheels
Go-fast cars ran Englewood Pos-a-traction cheater slicks
Brake drums painted red or body color
Gabriel Hijacker air shocks for that "rake"
Slapper bars for leaf springs/ladder bars for coil springs
Flat white painted wheel wells/radiator support
Cherry Bomb or Thrush Glasspacks
Screaming Purple Hornies header mufflers
8 Track with Kraco 6x9's on the rear package tray
Lace or cobweb painted panels on hood and trunk

I ran the chrome reverse/Torq-Thrust combo on my burgundy '63 Galaxie 500XL, red lines w. poverty caps and body color rims on my Dark Teal Turquoise '65 GTO, factory deluxe wheel covers w. spinners and redlines on my copper '66 Fairlane 390 GT and did the wheel well/radiator core support "whiteout" on my Dk Blue/White GT Stripe '66 Fairlane 390GT (390 bottom end / 428CJ top end/ Engle solid lifter cam) w. black steelies, poverty caps and Englewood cheater slicks. Also ran an extra leaf on passenger side, slapper bars (painted white) and ball joint spacers with shock extensions and no sway bar on that car for more weight transfer. Car plowed straight ahead like a tractor on a slow turn too!

Let sleeping dogs lie. As far as car trends from the '60's and '70's go, you don't want to go back in time. Your car looks awesome. The body style and wheels are a timeless look.
