I used a universal kit from summit, cut to fit. Works great if your not just looking for the original linkage

Get some 1/4 rod and bend to fit. Thread the ends and go to a REAL parts store and get some ball and socket ends. On aluminum rod you gotta sand down the dia. a little before threading.

I think the "short" one has ball-and-socket ends on both ends of it. Do what Gary says. I don't know if the rod has fine or coarse threads but if "looks" isn't important, use all-thread rod.

I just remembered that my old Craftsman mower had a "short" rod with ball-and-socket ends on the transmission shifter linkage on the axle housing. You may be able to find something at a mower repair shop.

I have it but the other end looks swaged to the other piece so would need to remove the whole thing. Yes? Rod
