Default RARE D-Port LB Manifolds and RA Manifolds - Appear In Stock at On-Line

Surfing their website this morning and it looks like the D-Port Long Branch Manifolds as well as the regular and oversize versions of the Ram Air Manifolds are in stock. Not sure how long this has been the case or how long it will last:

I missed that! Prices have gone up a bit too. I thought about buying and stashing a set in case they go out of stock again but can't justify as both my cars already have them...

Having never seen these in person, what would be the difference between these and manifolds offered by other companies?

Are they in stock from other vendors?

I’ve never had another brand but I can say the RARE pieces are top notch. This is the difference RARE claims: https://www.ramairrestoration.com/compare-reproductions

I just tried adding the standard and oversize D port RAs to my cart and it's a no go. You have to pick left or right but it won't let you pick both. That's the way it's been for the last year, at least.

Thanks

This time last year I got a set from The Parts Place. Haven't put many miles on them but they seem good.

Those Aluminum 421 SD manifolds look bad ass. I wonder how they fit in everything else outside of 61-63.

totally different pieces.

There was a side by side comparison of some in the past, the RARE are the best ones offered, period.

IIRC they are completely different castings, the RARE castings are of higher quality, and are finished better.

As a potential customer, who would have happily bought a pair, I don't blame Paul one bit. I feel bad for the guy actually. I'm sure if there was any way for him to have the inventory, he would.

Do you have a link to an independent side/side review?

Have you called Paul at RARE to see if they will sell you a pair? I’ve always found him very easy to deal with.

I spoke with him many times during the year that I had an order placed for a set. I still don't think he has them. Plus, after my dyno results comparing my RA manis with headers, I don't think it would be worth it.

I spoke with Paul a little while ago. He has 300 of the RA manifolds (left side only) in inventory and 300 of the right side “on the way” which should be soon but will require final finishing work so ETA for being able to sell as pairs is April. He will fill 200 backorders first so should have about 100 pair at $489. Expect a 10% increase soon.

He has the round port RA manifolds (both sides) on hand/in inventory and finalizing the finish work on them so they will be up for sale very soon.

Long Branch manifolds are in stock and up for sale now.

I lost count of how many times he told me those exact same words. I hope he's right this time, or sometime soon.
