Default 2023 Pontiac Uprising Pics, (Take 2)

My last attempt at posting pics didn't work so let's try again. First comes a few race shots then some from the show.

[url=https://www.flickr.com/gp/190262913@N05/68275i264W]

And that's all the race pics I took so now it's on to the show.

And now for something you're not likely to see every day; a Hemi-headed Pontiac gasser.

And that's it, that's all the pictures I took. I hope you enjoy them. That is, of course, if you can see them. Pro tip: Google photos doesn't seem to work for a lot of people when trying to post on some sites.

I had a great time at the Uprising, despite the mid 90s temps. It was great to see all the cars and get reacquainted a lot of old friends. Maybe, with any luck, I'll have my car back together soon so I can drive it there next year.

LOL, I was there, but not very long. Got there at about 2;30, stayed for an hour or so. Talked to Tom Wilhite for a bit. Talked to Jay S. And his brother. Talked to Rick Little (65 greenish Catalina). He's Jim Hand's nephew, his car is running much better. Someone in a 72ish LeMans stopped at Rick's car in the pits, he was mad at Rick for beating him...go figure. The racing I saw was little, at had issues with the timing equipment. Next time i go, regardless where, I will come on a Friday, stay in a motel. Ark City is closer for me, but not terribly closer.

Yeah, Dil and Darren Brandow are the Gasser Brothers. If I remember correctly they made a demo run that day but I was busy conversing at the time so I'm not sure how it went.

Thank you for posting all those pics. Good variety of race and show cars. Temps in the 90's sounds pretty darn good to me right now.

Can you ID this car? Looks like a cowl style of '27-9. Ornament appears distinctly Pontiac.

I can't help with an ID as I never got a look at it anywhere other than on the track. Maybe one of the other guys that were there can help you out.

I think he told me it was a 29. I looked it over a couple times. Pretty cool, I think he said he & his dad built it. I’m old so I could be miss remembering.
