Bernie, that's a kick ass offer! I already had someone come to my rescue and I'm taking the old girl to him in the morning.

I never cease to be amazed at the generosity I see from this community on a daily basis. I wish I could buy everyone a beer.

Default Resolution!

Well, I owe a huge debt of gratitude to Norm J aka Tripower. I took the old girl to him and he worked his magic. He used some Goof Off to get the paint off then used some rubbing compound then some polish then some glaze. My paint has never looked better. The rest of the car looks like schiza in comparison.

I didn't get off completely unscathed. There's a tiny dent about the size of a door ding left as well a deep scratch. I think I can live with it.

Thank you, norm (my new best friend!) for your effort. Next time the Old Styles are on me, and thanks to all who offered advice and offered to help. You can't begin to know how much I appreciate it. Cheers to all

Glad to hear the Goof Off worked for you. Xylene is the main ingredient in Goof Off, which will easily dissolve latex paint without harming automotive paints, as mentioned in some earlier posts.
