Default 8Track

69 a 1 year deal
Any way....I have an 8 track in my 69,you could have them with or with out a consol.
My car came with the consol type but was missing when I bought the car almost 11years ago.
I bought a refurbished-restored unit maybe 9 years ago on e-bay with a 1 year warrenty from some fella.
The unit looked great worked and still works and at that time I paid $400.00.

You can probably find the 8-Track unit fairly easily (there was one on e-Bay recently). You will have a problem finding the mounting bracket.

And it was a nice one...it was the first one I had seen and I just did not know how much they go for so thought I would see if it got a bid at $299...it got 1 bid and sold for that amount. It was complete, with bracket and harness, but had been on a shelf for a while and would need to be serviced and tape door re-chromed...would love to find one done and ready to install...

Default Console Bracket

I have a bracket, but I'm not sure what it's from. Can anyone help identify this? I think it might be the bracket that fits under a '69 console.

I do not know if that is correct for with or without console...looks a little low for without, although it could be the angle of photo...anyone?

It's taller than the picture shows. 3 3/4" on the tall side 2 1/2" on the low side.

On A bodies the non console 8 track is angle upwards, I've never seen an 8 track in a 69 bird without a console. Anyone have a picture of one?

The photo is of my 69 LeMans, the bracket is the same in A and B bodies but the shape of the F tunnel must make it unique.

I have a 69 Firebird AM/FM multiplex stereo radio that I'm going to put in my car and also want an 8 track. The car has a 4-speed console. What would the correct 8 track number be? Is it 92BT411? I've read a mix of stuff on the web and can't seem to find the numbers for for the 8 track.

Also, what is a 69 armrest pad? I've never seen one and don't know where the 8 track is mounted to use one of these. Does anyone have a picture?

All the 8 tracks are the same in 69, what varies is the mounting bracket and the wiring harness (which varied by radio etc).

the wiring harnesses are all repro'd

Does anyone have a picture of a 69 Firebird with the 8-track armrest? Where is it mounted?

You're probably right. I assume a stereo AM/FM multiplex could be ordered with an 8 track and a console. Would it be mounted to the end of the console?
