Purchased a molded hood pad for my 66 GTO. I defy anyone to install it either with the plastic or metal clips. It may look like it fits correctly but trying to install is a bear and you think that the clips are holding it in and they will pop out. Even with 3 pairs of hands holding it in place. This piece is not inexpensive and with the high price of shipping it is not one that I would recommend. I am not a novice at frame off restorations and have completed several and always used the soft floppy pad which I will now use on this car. If you have been able to install one of these, congratulations.
