Seller doesn't have a comprehension of:
-simple math
-market value of original roundport parts

Pair of rebuilt 197's, rebuilt with some type of incorrect style valves ....$2500
'71 Bare HO intake............................................ ............................. $550-700
Rebuilt some shops "restoration" of a $150 '69 268 Qjet......................$650

Sure looks like little over $3K worth of HO top end with wrong Qjet to sell off.

Blows my mind when people post outrageous prices, just fishing.

maybe he thinks the "manual carb" (which to me looks to be a 1968 unit) puts it over the top - since '70 HO carbs are getting pretty ridiculous money right now...

Definitely fishing for an ignorant buyer who has enough money to afford buying something without researching it.

Frankencarb with parts from at least 3 different carbs.

oh?

I could see a 1968-ish throttlebody with a repop choke pull-off...
and the airhorn front tube/vent appeared to be a pre-1969 part - so I had assumed it as being 1968.

Default Price Drop

All the way down to $7,750....Big 200 saving

Heat cross-over appears to be a repop...Makes me wonder about the intake.
