Default Oil adapter and pressure switch

I have a 1971 oil filter adapter on, but the pressure switch seems way to close to the headers. Is there a different adapter to use, or a better way to route the pressure switch?

Tom, did you plumb it so the switch was pointing down?

The A-body filter adapter angles in towards the engine, and the sender comes out the side, facing towards the rear of the engine.

Need to change because wiring is an issue. Easier to switch adapter now then later. In the market for the adapter that has the oil pressure switch facing toward rear.

x2 as GTOfreek states. You may want to get that oil filter adapter. Then I went to the hardware store and got a "t" fitting so I could run both oile pressure light switch and a line for a gauge. That eliminates trying to get the plug out which is next to the dizzy. It's usually stuck pretty good and takes a square socket most people don't have.

You could drill and tap the top of that oil filter adapter for 1/8" pipe and put the sender on the top side , you would then be reading the oil pressure as the motor really see's it, after the reduction of the oil filter!

I'd try that first, completely clear of the header that way.

good idia steve25. Or move the switch to the port by the distributor. Some 90 degree cobbling will still be needed. Took me 3 trips to the hard ware store to get the right combination to fit under the hei. Factory style big sender for a gauge.

Yep, that's where I put my mechanical oil pres fitting and tube, (under the dizzy) left the idiot light sending unit in factory location. ( RA III headers).
