Default Chinese flexplate?

I had 2 cat or scrap or something similar name flexplates. Starter clearence was set right but they both failed. That was 4 years ago. Ever since I was running a TCI one with no problems at all. I am doing a somewhat mild build and need a flexplate but I don't want to spend $200 on it unless I have too. How is a quality now or am I still better off getting a tci one? Thanks

TCI, ATI and JW are top notch but expensive. Hayes makes a very nice part for the money that is almost as HD as the TCI for much less.

I would run a stock flex plate before a China one.

Use a stock flexplate.

The 455 in my GTO has a stock flexplate, mild low-compression engine making a little more than 400 HP.

No issues even after 10 years on the transbrake with slicks.
