I got a 69 with a 462 with kaufman heads and a ra4 cam with fuel injection at 4100#. Should be in low 12's to high 11's on pump gas.. And a 70 on the side of my house i use for parts... I could drop my 462 ehead pump gas nitrous motor in it and take the crown from you http://216.178.81.108/forums/images/icons/icon10.gif

when is this show in the spring or summer can't remember off hand , my friends from philly go out there , i know its the best pontiac show to be at just can't seem to get out there , either on vaction at the time of the show or out of money to get there, another one i'd like to go to is pontiacs in the park , where just pontiacs are nothing else like the atco and englishtown shows , which i don't go to , because of other problems.

10 secGP,you went from 4.10s to 3.55s when you went to the raidials. Is that beacause the raidials do not grow as much at high speed.Tring to figure out the right gear if I switch. You are right, cowl hoods do not look right on Pontiacs. They might work but they belong on chebies.

Here are some pics of our 69 GrandPrix. Runs 11.8s should see 11.7s with tuning. It is a 462 with 62 heads, a tri-power, and 3.55 gears.

DRAGNCAR the reason why i switched to the 3.55's was because on nitrous it was too much gear with the 4:10 's. my rpm's on the top went from 6,900 to 6,100 rpm's with the gear change, the more power you make the less gear you need , from what i found out I didn't lose ET. gained mph. remember it a pontiac not a CHEVY, plus rpm's kills motor's , i try to make everything to where it isn't working hard , but still going fast .

A local guy I knew back in WI had a '72 GP that ran 8.70's that was all steel. However, he broke a plethora of parts trying to get it to run that fast. It ultimately went from a nice car to being sold multiple times and ended up looking like a rat trap......

Last I heard, he was running a Vega.

slowbird,is that A/C lines I see.455 w/AC,tri-power,11.8s,big boat.I like it.10secGP,I am considering going from 4.11s to 3.90s or 3.73s.But I think I should make a few passes with the new engine and note the RPM on the big end first.Heck I cross the line a 6200-6300 right now not making any power to speak of,I;ve got a funny fealing I will be around 7000(ouch)Hermans car was in Butlers old catalog as a "street" car.The engine came through Whittmores shop a few years back and it had a few quality control isues(been blown up a lot)It also had around 13-14 to 1 comp, not very "street".At least I think it was the same guy.I will ask Dan the next time I talk to him.

No those are fuel lines. The A/C was removed a year or 2 ago.

Dragncar, Herman ran it low on oil at Great Lakes during a pass. Kicked out a rod and put a hole in the cyl of the IA block. I know many people that worked on that mess!
