Default Reducing air bleed size?

I have a older model Dominator (9375) with air bleeds I need to reduce in size. I'm getting too much air and cannot idle motor down. Can one just cut small pieces of wire and insert them in holes with no problems coming out? I don't think the air bleeds are changable in this older model? Any help would be appreciated.

I'd look at pulling the pressed in bleeds and then tapping the holes. Not sure what size the Dominators are, the 4150s are just right for a #6 tap and Braswell has bleeds for that size.

Also heard of guys using lead shot tapped in then drilling.

you could leave the carb on, just have to take off the bowls and metering blocks to blow out the epoxy you drill out. might be just easy to work on on the bench though.
