Does it have a lug on the throttle shaft to drive a tps?

This what we did. You need to be good with a drill though so I have my fabricator do it for me. I use it with a Haltech VMS ECU.

I have wondered if you can mount a TPS on the gas pedal. This would make it easy to test different carbs / intakes.

Do you then use one of the cable type tps with that arrangement?

The only problem with that is if the cable slips or brakes and the throttle blades close but the nitrous stays on bad things will happen.

Sorry I should have added pictures of that before.

The bracket was fabricated and the sensor is Standard Motor Products TH36.

The lever arm on the sensor goes into the hole on the top of the arm that is mounted on the throttle shaft.

To mount the arm as I showed above you need to remove the dust cap on the passenger side of the carb and then drill and tap the throttle shaft for a spacer and arm. Make sure to use Loctite on the small bolt for final assembly.

Something like this may help with fabrication. Also would allow the use of the more common gm tps it looks like. I've never used one.

The arm from Innovate Motorsports is for a 4150 and had a flat spot on the ID which matches the throttle shaft which sticks out past the edge of of the base plate. I use one of those on the 4150 I swap on.

The arm and spacer were fabricated. I purchased the TPS from RockAuto. Here is a drawing of the arm that we made.
