Lightbulb I need this

Ok friends I am on the hunt for this 8 track tape. You may know or have sources I do not. I must have this!! 😁😉 just the tape. I also have this in the collectibles forum, but hoping someone who don’t view that forum might have one. It must work. Also must be from the first movie.

You are obsessed. You need an intervention.

I am obsessed I always have been, and swore to one day to have my own BURT and now I do. I may even sleep in this car and play that tape over and over.

You're not the only one who gets obsessed, MaryAnn.

It took me three hours the other day to find Aunt Sally.

To give you an idea of recent trends, (far less than than $150....) here are a couple of completed Ebay auctions:

Have you considered faking one? Keep looking for an original, of course, but it wouldn't take long to add a blue border to the movie poster. Print it out and slap it onto whichever case color you happen to be in the mood for. Bright red? Why not? Black? Naturally! Feel like changing up the soundtrack's order? Totally doable. And this way you'd have one (or more) you can use without hesitation.

That’s more reasonable pricing I’d pay up to $35 for one.

Cool idea, but I’m not that savvy maybe I can get someone to make me one though hmmmmm. I still would like the real tape though.

Does it play? and more important does the 8 track in the car work properly? Tape is 40 yrs old I would think it may be very brittle by now. They didnt last long when new. Also a big weakness of the players is the belt drives dryrot. I have an almost perfect looking unit in my car and never bothered to even hook it up, figuring it would not work anyway. Also bought a stack of 8 tracks just for show.

Yes the 8 track player was all refurbished and tested works great! The tape belongs to a car friend and he posted a video of it working in his player and went through all the tracks. I have tested my player with a couple of my old tapes as well. My unit is an am radio 8 track player combo, that we had an automotive sound professional get it sounding great, with up grades. I may or not play this particular tape simply because it is rather rare. Have to see.

You can always blue tooth the sound track from your phone through your radio, put the 8 track in all but engaged, no one would know the diff.
