Default Dipstick Tube w/ 4-Bolt Mains Clearance

Is there a trick to installing the short inner dipstick tube with the '65+ windage tray and 4-bolt mains? The tube wants to hit the outer edge of the #3 main cap before it can be angled properly to align with the tray and intermediate tube. I can see that this is likely not an issue with two bolt mains as the cap is narrower.

I have inserted the short inner tube into the outer tube along with the tray at the same time. Lower them in together. Make sure the short tube is not upside down. Every now and then you may have to bend the inner tube just a touch at the little kink in the tube. Be careful.

I did get this installed OK. It's definitely touching the main cap, but the angles look good and there's no way this will ever be able to get dislodged and fall out of place.

It's easier to put the main cap on after the dipstick tube.
