Is it Cloyes or Edelbrock there is only a slight price difference from what I have seen so which is better who has had personal experience with them? Sorry about all the questions lately but I am bound and determined to get my TA back on the streets

The Cloyes have been around for, what is it 25 years? And edelbrock chain for what? I have the Cloyes timing chain and it seems to be a good piece.

Also What about comp cams timing chain I have heard that they are pretty good as well? Also the engine is not very hipo at the moment it has headers dual exhaust and rebuilt quad and performer intake will the comp piece work because there is a place in town that has one

In my opinion the Rollmaster is the best. Kauffman sell them and say that they have run one in their dragster for five years with no stretch. I haven't run one that long (only one year) but valve timing is still right on. For the price, if it lasts me two years, I figure that I'm money ahead.

Previously the Cloyes would be my choice, but I'm a Rollmaster fan now! Call Jeff Kaufmann.

We put a Rollmaster on my new engine, the machinist said it looked like a good unit and liked it. JBP also sells them.

Ran an Edelbrock from Summit,,,stretched 2 degrees as soon as I put it in. Bought a Rollmaster from KRE,,,Last dial in was right on,, and has a nine position keyway to boot. Also seems of much better quality.

I've used the Edelbrock, it's a nice piece. 6,000 miles on a street 455, it's still tight(although it ought to be). I have a Rollmaster from Kaufmans now that has already been through 3 different motors. Very nice, and definately worth a couple extra bucks.

I can't say enough about my RollMaster except for this beautiful German made CNC billet timing set is as tight as the day I bought it, is accurate to within 1/4 of a degree, has 9 keyways to choose from, and I feel like I got my moneys worth.

I`VE RUN BOTH IN MANY ENGINES. THE CLOYES DO STRETCH !! I PUT AN EDELBROCK IN MY 400 . BEAT THE PISS OUT OF IT FOR 15 YEARS- WHEN I TOOK IT APART WAS STILL AS TIGHT AS THE DAY I PUT IT IN. RECENTLY TOOK A CLOYES OUT OF CUSTOMERS 400 WITH 2000 MILES ON IT- CHAIN WAS STRETCHED BEYOND BELIEF. ROLLMASTER IS THE CURRENT HIGH-TECH SETUP & IS A SUPERB PIECE BUT PRICEY. IF THE BUCKS ARE TIGHT YOU CAN`T GO WRONG WITH AN EDELBROCK
