Hi guys, ok first here is the set-up I'm Running now.
400--.030 over
forged pistons
6x#4 heads milled to 87 cc
comp cams #988-16 springs
068 cam
HS 1:65 roller rockers (w/poly locks)
edlebrock intake
Q-Jet carb
stock hei with msd cap, wires, acell coil, and a MSD 6al
headers
th350 w/shift kit
3:42 rear
2400-2600 daco stall converter.

Ok now I just ordered a 2041al (222/232 450/470 109 center 113 LSA) cam from Nunzi And am hopeing for a little more out of this combo ? any one use this cam in a 400? How did or do you like it? Any input on this cam would be great. I thought The 068
would have a little more power than it seems to (got it with the rebuild parts & came with no #'s on cam or a cam card??? so I'm not sure about it. As for the smaller LSA is that better? I guess I should go by what Nunzi told me but I would like to hear from some of you. Thanks, Mr-B

Just wanted to let all know that the cam is in and WOW!! what a difference from the stock replacement 068 cam. It has lower vacume at idle (about 12 now down from 16 or so) But boy does it run much better. Also the past prob (other link on this board---- valve float, dist or fuel prob) Has been solved. I had changed so many parts. dist, cap, rotor, wires, fuel pump, ect,ect and still had some breaking up at around 5200-5400 rpm. Well last night I went a little farther than I planned and at 6000 rpm the msd rev limiter took over and it was running GREAT up to that point. So All is well here for now, Thanks for all the help, Mr-B

How is your idle with the Nunzi cam? Is it smooth, fairly smooth, or rough?

As for the idle it's a lot smoother than I thought it would be. It sound's very much like the stock 068 (the 068 idle was about 650 in drive and now around 750) It's up a little bit higher but brakes work great.
