Question Ign switch

Is there a way of bypassing the ignition switch? I'm having electrical problems when the key is turned on, nothing works and it won't crank. I have power coming into the car with key off but not when key is on. 69 Firebird

Do your headlights work when there’s no key in the cylinder?

I suggest you first disconnect, then clean and retighten all your grounds . When you know the
grounds are good then start troubleshooting from there.

He said headlights won't work? They don't need key on or off.
Grounds as said sound like a good start.

You just had the motor out yet again for a rebuild and dyno session so any wires you disconnected to get that yanked out of there are what I would visit first.
Make sense?

Yes Steve, going through everything I disconnected at the moment.

I've ordered another ignition switch just incase. It will take a while to get here though.

Cleaned all earths and had ignition switch off, so perhaps the rod adjustment helped?
