Is there going to be a car to match race with the Dirty Bird? That would be cool.

I'll be there...match racing myself. I don't even know if my car will start. I do know the front tires are flat spotted!! I hope it runs. Has not been out of the garage since last October.

I'm there, but will not be providing comedic relief with any chains this year.

6.23, gittin er done. Wgat was the 60' on that run? That should be a low 9.8?

I found another issue yesterday. I finished putting the engine minus the rockers and intake back in. Put the headers on. So not much to wrap it up again left.
But on #8 intake port a bit of apoxy seemed to lift. I went to sand it and it flacked. It seems like maybe the pushrod was rubbing against it and pushed back into the port. So now I need to clean that up and epoxy it again. I think I will use one of the damaged pushrods with some tape on it to ensure it holds inside the pushrod hole and doesn't interfere. The heads are pretty thin there on all ports.
I sure hope this set up is worth the work and headaches associated with getting them going.

Ron,

We'll entertain racing anyone that shows up with a car at that level!

We DID have a match race at VMP Saturday during the Little Guy Nationals. First ever, beat a Hemi! Theres a good description in the thread "Little Guy nationals" by Scott Roberts.

See you guys there!

Jim

Yah, it's got(ten) a Hemi!

Will tech be open on Thursday night?
Test and tune continues through each day with the different class events?
Can we test when running in a class event same day?

Might want to give the track a phone call...ask for Brian or Ron, they should be able to answer your questions over the phone.
