Default Norwalk 2009

Is it close enough to Norwalk Tri Power Nationals that we can start talking about
Who's coming, or going?

What car are you bringing?

Are you shooting for quick 16 and how fast?

Are you going to take the cake?

Are you camping at the track?

I'm planning on having my '64 Tempest there, but it will be run of the mill performance compared to the competition.

Tom,
Here's a calculator for figuring your weight from your engine size.

50% chance for me. I want to make one of the Ohio events this summer. May end up going to Dayton if not Norwalk

Rob, I wish I could. Just cannot afford to do both this year. I'm sure both will be very successful.

I was just telling Bill 500plus today that we had a blast staying at the track last year. Used the showers provided by the raceway, bbq on the tailgate, and air matressed the car trailer.

Jim, nothing run of the mill about your car. It's beautiful and FAST. Plus you are consistant. FEAR the Old Man !!!!!!

Steve, I know it's a long haul but man it would be cool to see you guys set a record with the NITRO FED. You'd be a hit.

Danny, I have 2 friends flying in from SoCal that both had recent back surgerys. I had a lower lumbar fusion L4, L5S1 in 2000. So there will be 3 more gimps coming up from Tulsa.

Dave and Hooter, Get r done so you can come out and play.

Dil,
I know the phrase 'never say never' but, there is almost a zero chance of my AA/Fueler ever going to Norwalk.
I could just imagine what it would cost to fly my crew and driver, plus their lodging....
Hell, you know me, I would sleep in my GTO but, I cannot expect to ask my driver and crew to do that. Plus the Norwalk race does not offer a class for my car to run in.... That adds up to no reason to ever bring it.
Maybe, one day, the Norwalk race will have an unlimited class for fast Real Pontiac powered drag cars of all types. With my car, the Dirty bird, Jeffs car, the Boss bird, maybe some other birds, Mellotts car, etc, etc, someone will step up to sponsor such an unlimited class.
I do not think a true unlimited 'run what you brung ( and hope you brung enough )' class has ever existed at a Pontiac event. Perhaps the years ahead will bring such a wild class like that. In the meantime, there are at least 3 cars, and a few more being built, that could run in it.
Hopefully in a few years, as money comes around, I can head east with my blown'65 Altered wheelbase '65 Tempest funny car. That is more of a possibility as I can run that car by myself, or with 1 helper.
Most of my summer money and energy is going into my 2 blown Pontiac powered boats.
However, we do plan to run my AA/Fueler next month.
