My TH-400 went south this last race weekend. It had 3 seasons on it. My questions are:
Should I replace the kitted valve body with a manual reverse valve body? Would a lower first gear improve my 60s and are they available? Should I install a tranny brake and if so which brand/type is best? Thanks. Eddy.

Eddy I recently installed a ATI reverse pattern manual valve body, This was on my 73 T/A bracket race car. I would highly recommend you do also, I love it especialy the reverse pattern, it really helps prevent getting the wrong gear.

Thanks NW, that was fast. I think I am going to rebuild my old one which a buddy and I did 3 years ago. The case has been all deburred and would be an easy rebuild as far as friction clutches etc. I would like to try a reverse manual VB and ATI is probably the one I will use. Do you have a tranny brake?

Your transbrake and rev. valve body will come as one unit. Mines a JW and I like it ... Eric
