Default Update on the new engine

Went to test and tune yesterday and made a few more passes. No tuning yet, just trying to work out best settings for a decent launch. Moved the Assassin Bars one hole up from the bottom. Only made two passes but it seemed to work well. 60' is still soft but I know the converter is holding things back. Also a hot and humid day. Anyway, things are headed in the right direction and next time out I hope to try different jetting in the Quickfuel 950 and also try a bit more timing. On the second pass I did something I have never done before and that was a perfect light. Blind luck for sure but still looked good on the board.

Hey, those perfect lights are seldom blind luck. They are earned, nice job.
Those are what you want in time trials bracket racing. People hear that over the PA system.
It helps earn you opponents red lights.
Your car has under 10.50 in her when you get those 60 foots down and more tuning.

Thanks for those encouraging words. I do think the potential is there. Will just take some time to sort it out.

Like you say a little soft on 60FT. I can do better with off idle but hard to make myself do it thinking car will stall or stumble.

Vacuum is around 10 with the idle at 1000-1100. It will idle at lower rpm but I brought it up to smooth things out a bit. I could play around with the air bleeds and probably get a better idle even at lower rpm but it hasn't been a priority at this point.
