PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN , I WOULD LIKE TO CLEAN UP THE FACE PLATE ON MY 70 GTO HEATER CONTROL UNIT. DOES ANY ONE KNOW HOW TO REMOVE THOSE CHROME KNOBS WITH OUT DAMAGING THEM? (I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO RE INSTALL THEM)

The only way to get them off is to pull them off.

yes that seems to be the only way , i read some of the past posts , but i was hoping some one had a new trick, thanks for the help

Be sure to pull them off on a nice hot day. They would be less likely to break.

I'll be in the junk yard sometime this week and I'll pull a set off a 70 and see what happens.
