I mixed up some cloth dye and let them sit in there for a week. Make sure you put a coat of wax on all your metal hardware first.

My Rig's a little old, but that don't mean she's slow.

Did all seat belts come black. My brother has an original red interior 70 convert, and the belts are black. Were they ever red?

For 1970, the deluxe belts (with stainless buckle) are color coded to the interior. I think the only standard belt colors were black, tan, and green.

The best method I have found for sprucing up seatbelts is using the spray type fabric dye.
It's like spray paint. Just dust it on to get teh colors even. Too much makes the belt too stiff.
