72 GTO hood support
Does the 72 GTO have about a 3/16" thick support wedged between the skin on sides of hood for support? This is in the sides near middle and about 1 1/2 feet in length. It looks like it is crudely spot welded from the outside edge on both sides of hood. Or, it this someones fix to keep from bending hood in half? Mine has a bow there on each side that needs to be straightened to blend with top of fenders.

After a talk with another member here, I think this was someone's fix from bending the hood when closing. Looks like I have a fix ahead of me.
