Jeff,

It's not what I'd call crowded. I haven't been in a couple of years, but it's always been nice because everything there is Pontiac, and YES, you can actually find full size stuff there not just GTO/Firebird. Usually a lot of cars and I always went to watch the racing. I don't know if they have the races on Friday, but let me tell you, when those old '60's Tin Indians run down that track, it's almost better than sex!

I won't be taking the '64. I've got a transmission problem that I haven't figured out yet on the TH400 (it has a growl even at low speeds). I'll look for your Bonne, if I go, and we'll meet up.

Ron

there'll be passes made on fri.

look us up also if you get thetime and have the inclination.

either look for the 98 bonnie in the show field[ it'll probably be the only one in it] i enter it for the better parking and i don't have a car done yet. too many irons in the fire.

chris usually has a cookout at the p/y trailer if you'll be there in the eve.

or drop me a line for my cell number, it's good to put a face with the name on the boards.

Here's a pic of the gold monster coming to Norwalk. Didn't get any real tires on it yet, so only going to cruise. Also the blue wagon purchased in 1989 finally got its 8 lugs on it last month. What a difference!!

Default Another 2+2

Wow! There are some beautiful cars in this thread. I thought I would put on a few of my 2+2. That is, if I have done this correctly. Thanks.

Default 421 with triples

That's a nice car.

Is it a GTO or an Impala?

I like the 421 badges. I wish I had the mill and the stinkin' badges.

Take care,
Greg

Incredible 2+2.

This forum makes going to any show totally anticlimactic.

I love it.

Default Drug in another one

Just brought this back tonight. No engine or trans, but pretty highly optioned car. Under hood light, rear defrost, power windows, A/C, soft-ray glass, speed alert, low fuel light, 6 way power seat w/ armrest, tilt wheel, original floor mats in green, Someone removed what had to be an AM/FM, & a trunk full of unexplored crap. Some pretty good side molding & chrome. I am hoping the rear is something usable.

Thanks for the kind replies guys , Found this piece 2 years ago in Detriot , internet, found it unusual because of the equipment in it,tripps ,correct factory 2 -snorkel air cleaner, 4-speed Muncie box with Hurst shifter, factory 4-speed console correct & complete long branch headers, factory air,pwr windows, brakes,steering,8 lug wheels,am/fm with reverb, remote mirror, tint glass, reel light, roller rockers in engine with double roller timing chain. I added the vinyl roof to break up the white paint. Was a California car from new to 1993 ,1 owner , here is the kicker , a women. Car needed a total restore ,125,00 mi. but thankfully the car had absolutely no rust, stripped it to steel so I know ,has been a long 2 years & a lot of hrs but it is almost done now ,just have the interior left & some tweeking.I also got all the Califonia registrations, protecto plate book, owners book, the original 1964 cali. black plate Thanks again !

Very nicely optioned car. Special ordered I assume? I like the monster powertrains with A/C etc. Very cool find.

Mike- Only project on that car is to get all the pieces off it. Body is pretty crappy save the front clip. I am going to save the very nice frame I think & fold up the body with the tractor.

Moved this post from lobby as alot of you big car guys don't visit there.

John A, great looking car, mine is a similar story-yours and the rest of rolling artwork posted here inspire me to restore mine as well. Like a rebirth after being out of the loop for along time. Just trailered it home today, registered it, will drive for a couple weeks before to get an idea of where to begin.

Haven't been so excited in years....after about a 6 month search, i bought a 1963 Catalina 2 dr hdtp, protecto-plate and book, the original 421 4 speed, correct tri-power(added). Original Cal. car, w/ black plate, brought to NY in early 80's, driven sparingly(mostly 1/4 mile at a time) has been stored in barn, last registered in 1993. Original factory silverleaf green paint, bench seat, dog dish caps.

Sent for PHS before deal made to verify numbers, factory equipped w/ 21 options. Ventura Trim, Pwr brakes, rally guages, 15" wheels, HD brakes, HD frame, Ezi Glass, 4 Spd, Posi, AM/FM, 2 sp wipers/washer, also has a dual snorkel air cleaner, etc.... All body panels and interior original, 70,000 orig miles. Dry frame, floors and trunk, surface rust on horizontal panels.

Lucked out and found within 70 miles of home, which saved me probably $3000 in shipping fees($1.00+ per mile?) as i was concentrating on a western car anyhow.(all the 63's in buffalo area either crushed or spoken for) Will be searching for a few parts before restoration begins in winter/spring but mostly complete. Anyone got a correct jack and one retaining spring lying around they'd sell?

Finally back in the Pontiac groove, i last owned a 65 GTO in late 70's, kids all grown up now, time for the old man to get back into it. Years ago worked as body/paint guy but been alooong time...HVLP? Huh? Saw pic of a Black 63 Cat in a muscle car book about 6 months ago and had a hard time sleeping for a couple nights- love these big cars!

Awesome board here, thanks to John Folluo, EngineEar, mwritter, 6T5Cat, 64catdroptop and everyone else that helped me with numbers a couple weeks back. I'm most grateful for your kindness and expertise. I'm sure i'll become a regular pest round here as i begin to tear into this project this winter/spring. Have to enjoy a bit of cruisin before the real work begins.
