Finally got under the car yesterday and removed washers. When I fired up motor, squeal started again. Car was already on jackstands, so I took a peek underneath,,,,, and wala!!!! Sparks from contact of mini starter and flex plate gear causing squeal!!!! I never thought I'd be happy to see sparks from my motor/trans,,, but I was!! I had the mindset that contact of gears shouldnt squeal but grind or make a diff noise. I dont think Im going to replace those washers, theyre only about 3/32' thick , and every time I mentioned them, I was questioned.
Now Ill start a new post on starter install. Thanks for everyones support!!! Joe
